Senator Cynthia Marie Lummis Wiederspahn (R) is an American politician. She is serving as a junior US Senator from Wyoming. She was a member of the state’s House of Representatives. She also served in the Wyoming Senate before her election to the US House of Representatives.
Lummis was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on September 10, 1954.
Senator Cynthia Lummis attended Cheyenne East High School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Wyoming in 1976.
She worked as a teacher at the Rock River School after her Bachelor’s degree. She also received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1978. She furthered and received a law degree from the University of Wyoming in 1985.
She is a member of the Republican Party.
