Senator James Paul Lankford is an American politician. He was a member of the Republican Party. He has been serving as a junior United States Senator from Oklahoma under the Republican since 2014. He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Then, he represented the Oklahoma 5th Congressional District from 2011 to 2015.
Representative United States Lankford was born in Dallas, Texas, on March 4, 1968. His parents divorced when he was four. But, his mother remarried, and the new family moved to Garland. Lankford, the American politician, graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School.
In 1990, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the University of Texas. But, he married before furthering his studies at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He received a Master’s degree in Divinity in 1994.
After his Master’s degree, Senator James Lankford moved to Oklahoma City. There, he worked for the Baptist General Convention. He became the director of Student Missionaries and Fall Creek Youth Camp from 1995 to 2009.
